Research Associate position at Chapman University

Chapman University invites applications for Research Associate. In addition to their own personal research, the research associate will support projects at the Institute for Quantum Studies which is led by Yakir Aharonov (see quantum.chapman.edu) . Examples include a new journal, an upcoming conference, supporting theoretical aspects of foundations of quantum theory research by other members of the Institute such as novel types of measurement including weak values, modular variables and superoscillations (by contributing to the development of research documentation for publication and/or presentations), and other duties as assigned. This position will require some evenings and weekend work hour. This is a grant funded position. Continued employment is dependent on continuing grant funding. Qualifications include a PhD in theoretical physics or relevant field of research; or its equivalent in research skills and subject matter knowledge by the beginning of employment at Chapman University. Ability to conduct research in a timely manner and document all data. Strong writing skills. Ability to work alone or with student assistants. Ability to collaborate with Principal Investigator and other faculty before and during research. Successful completion of criminal background check required for the final candidate.
