Quantum Information Theory
The Department of Physics and Astronomy (P&A) at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a tenure-track position (probationary appointment leading to a tenure decision) in Theoretical Physics, specializing in Quantum Information Theory. The successful applicant will be expected to participate in the teaching of undergraduate and graduate classes. They will be engaged in building a strong research group in quantum information science that enhances the activities of the Center for Quantum Information and Control (CQuIC) and strengthens P&A’s degree programs. A minimum requirement for this position is a PhD in Physics or a closely related field. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a breadth of research experience, a strong publication record, promise of scholarship, and a strong commitment to teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels, the potential to supervise student researchers, and the potential to enhance activities of CQuIC.
