The junior professors will be part of the newly founded Institute for Quantum Information, and will participate in a larger initiative on “Future Information Technologies” of the Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (JARA-FIT) involving researchers at both institutions. Close collaboration will be expected with the theoretical and experimental groups of the department of physics, and with others in JARA-FIT. Among the teaching duties will be the participation in the education of students in theoretical condensed matter physics. The candidates should have a completed university degree and a special aptitude for scientific work which is generally verified by means of an outstanding doctorate.
