Really. South Side Irish Child of the Fifties that I am, I grew up secure in the knowledge that Bacon is a food group in itself. I practically grew up on Liver Fried with Bacon and Onions (working class people do not sauté — we fry). Alas, you can’t get nice fresh Calves’ Liver any more, not even for ready money.
