I never did care too much for Bacon. I’m more of a Descartes man myself. 🙂 That is, when it comes to choosing between deduction and induction as the primary logic used in the search of reliable understanding; I choose deduction. I trust “I think; therefore I am” over “All polar bears thus found are white; therefore any polar bear must be white”.
