I think there’s a typo in equation 10 of the last lecture. You’ve got
U(theta, z-hat) = cos(theta/2)I + i sin(theta/2)I.
I think that last ‘I’ should be sigma[3], since n-hat = z-hat, so n-hat . sigma is sigma[3].

Yeah, these notes will have a lot of errors and anyone who cares to point them out to me should feel free to so that when I use them again I will have much better notes!
