Mystery Particle?

What is this? It seems this charmonium-like state is a bit of a mystery. Theoretical calculations for the possible identity of this particle are off by ~50 sigma. I’m betting the theory just needs tweeking, but who knows? Anyone want to take the bet?

  1. I think, then, that you meant to say, rather than “the theory just needs tweeking”, instead “the theorists just need to be tweeking.”
Which, in many cases, they already are.

  2. No, no…tweeking is a west coast thing. Tweaking is too old and out of fashion for me to use in any respectable sentence. Hence I have deduced that this comment was not sent my Ken Brown, but instead by Aram Harrow.
