Dear Author(s):
Thank you for submitting your paper to ICSSSM2009!
We are sorry to notify you that the submitting method has changed
from sending e-mail to this mailbox to login of the conference website
http://one-stop1.baocard.com/icsssm09/en_index.php .And this mailbox
is invalid now. So if you have already submitted your paper, please
make sure that you will re-submit on the website. Otherwise, the paper
which sent into this mailbox will not be collected for the meeting.
And icsssm09 Organizing Committee would not be responsible for it.
Sorry for bringing these troubles to you.
And thank you again for supporting us!

Ever notice that all these spam-generating conferences have really long and incredibly vague names (that almost always include the word ‘systems’)?
Rule #1: When you decide an email is spam, don’t respond to it. Add it to your junk senders list, and forget about it.
(Of course, most spam is being sent from botnets these days, so the sender is changing all the time. Bayesian filtering is the only adequate solution.)
Among the couple of dozen corporations where I’ve worked as management, engineer, tech writer, consultant, contractor, or whatever, one threatened this sort of nonsense, albeit back in the pre-Web era.
With great fanfare, they rolled out, and briefed us on, a comprehensive system of Interoffice Memoranda using 8-layer NCR paper. The blue one would go to the destination, the green one to your manager, the yellow one to the department coordinator, or whatever.
Seeing the danger, I immediately sent a dozen memoranda to everyone I regularly communicated saying: “Please disregard the previous memo.”
That triggered all the “what last memo?” replies, and combinatorial expl, osion set in.
By end of day, the system was dropped, and never mentioned again by management.
Email just makes this faster.
