I see that the first issue of “The Quantum Times,” the newsletter of the APS topical group on quantum information, computation, and concepts is available online. Check out the shirt Charlie Bennett was wearing at the APS March meeting! And if you’re note a memeber of the topical group, join up!
A little shameless self-promotion there Dave?? 🙂
Speaking of shameless self-promotion, anyone who wants to add things to The Quantum Times, e-mail me! I’m always looking for material (preferably good, but I’m not always that picky).
My entire blog is shameless self-promotion! 🙂
The quantum thinking is necessary around..
Isn’t your ‘article’ just a copy and paste from one of your blog posts?
Indeed the “article” (um, those are big quotes) is a cntl-C, cntl-V.
Never underestimate the power of cntl-C, cntl-V. And besides, this is quantum mechanics we’re talking about here. Who knows what could happen between cntl-C and cntl-V?
Well, I don’t know about you, but my computer is very definitely classical.
The more observant of you may notice that the article I contributed to about the APS meeting is also a reworked (more carefully worded) version of a blog posting of mine, with contributions from others about the sessions I missed. It gives some insight into the Durham editing process.
Seriously though, I know this was only the first issue, but it would be nice to see articles from non-bloggeurs who might not already post their thoughts all over the internet in future issues. I’m thinking of the Zeilinger’s, Greenberger’s, Fuchs’ and Hardy’s of the world in the case of foundations.
