Aimed at graduate students and young postdoctoral fellows from around the world, the International Summer School on Information Security in a Quantum World will combine lectures with interactive tutorials to give participants a breadth of knowledge and experience in this important field.<\/p>\n<p>The lectures will be tailored towards people who have a basic understanding of the concepts behind quantum communication, and want to deepen their knowledge of quantum cryptography, from its theoretical underpinnings to its practical realization. Confirmed speakers at the summer school include:<br \/>\n\u00b7       Richard Hughes (Los Alamos National Laboratory)<br \/>\n\u00b7       David Jao (University of Waterloo)<br \/>\n\u00b7       Thomas Jennewein (University of Waterloo)<br \/>\n\u00b7       Renato Renner (ETH Z\u00fcrich)<br \/>\n\u00b7       Douglas Stinson (University of Waterloo)<\/p>\n<p>The school will be held July 25-29, 2011, at the Institute for Quantum Computing, University of Waterloo, Canada. There is space for up to 60 attendees.
