The successful applicant will perform\u00a0theoretical research on all-optical quantum computing, communication, simulation, metrology,\u00a0generation of non-classical states of light, and\/or related topics. An ideal candidate would\u00a0possess a strong background and research experiences in theoretical quantum optics, quantum\u00a0information theory, linear-optics quantum computation and\/or photonic quantum\u00a0communication with a Ph.D. degree. He\/she is also expected to closely collaborate with\u00a0experimental group(s).<\/p>\n<p>The appointment will be for three years. The level of appointment and salary are commensurate\u00a0with qualifications and experience. On-campus accommodations with reasonable rates are\u00a0available for non-Korean researchers working in Seoul National University. Health and safety\u00a0insurance and severance pay will be supported according to university regulations and\u00a0employment laws. Full financial support for attending up to two international conferences every\u00a0year and a new laptop and monitor (or a desktop PC up to the candidate\u2019s preference) will be\u00a0provided during the employment period.<\/p>\n<p>Review of applications will begin on 1 May 2016, and the position will remain open until it is\u00a0filled. Short-listed candidates will be contacted within 2 weeks from their application dates (but\u00a0after 1 May 2016).
