Our research group is interested in the following research topics:<br \/>\n&#8211; quantum algorithms and complexity theory;<br \/>\n&#8211; quantum communication, quantum information theory and cryptography;<br \/>\n&#8211; connections between quantum computing and classical computer science (using ideas from quantum information to solve classical problems);<br \/>\n&#8211; using ideas from quantum information to study physical systems.<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for candidates with an interest in one or more of these topics. Candidates can be:<br \/>\n&#8211; quantum information\/quantum computing theorists interested in the topics above or<br \/>\n&#8211; classical computer scientists interested in exploring the connections between classical and quantum computer science;<\/p>\n<p>Applicants should send their CV (including contact data of possible references) to Andris Ambainis (<a href=\"mailto:ambainis@lu.lv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ambainis@lu.lv<\/a>). Applications received by\u00a0February 10, 2014\u00a0will receive full consideration; late applications will be considered until the positions are filled.
