Our research group is interested in the following research topics:<br \/>\n&#8211; quantum algorithms and complexity theory;<br \/>\n&#8211; quantum communication, quantum information theory and cryptography;<br \/>\n&#8211; connections between quantum computing and classical computer science;<br \/>\n&#8211; using ideas from quantum information to study physical systems (quantum Hamiltonian complexity).<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for candidates with an interest in one or more of these topics. Candidates should have a background in the theory of quantum information (in a broad sense) or classical computer science.<\/p>\n<p>Applicants should send their CV (including contact data of possible references) to Andris Ambainis (<a href=\"mailto:ambainis@lu.lv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ambainis@lu.lv<\/a>). Applications will be considered until the positions are filled.
