Dick delight!\u00a0 &#8220;Radio Free Albemuth&#8221;, <a href=\"http:\/\/radiofreealbemuth.com\/blog\/\">the film<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gsiff.com\/content\/radio-free-albemuth\">premiered<\/a> on October 7th at the Gotham Screen International Film Festival.\u00a0 For those who don&#8217;t know, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0679781374?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thequantumpon-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0679781374\">Radio Free Albemuth<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;margin: 0px !important\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=thequantumpon-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0679781374\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/> (RFA) is one of Dick&#8217;s last novels, and was basically a warm up exercise or first version of his strange and incomparable gnostic hallucination known as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0679734465?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thequantumpon-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0679734465\">Valis<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;margin: 0px !important\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=thequantumpon-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0679734465\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>.  For some reason RFA, Valis, and my favorite PKD novel, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0679734449?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thequantumpon-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0679734449\">The Transmigration of Timothy Archer<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;margin: 0px !important\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=thequantumpon-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0679734449\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/>, are often considered the Valis Trilogy, but I don&#8217;t think there is any evidence PKD thought of these in these terms about these three novels.<br \/>\nIt seems that the film is currently just being screened at film festivals, and I can&#8217;t quite back up from the website whether or when it is destined for wider release.\u00a0 Come on Holywood, you know PKD is worth some dollars!\u00a0 By the way, Alanis Morrssette plays the character Sylvia in the movie.<br \/>\nIn other PKD news there are rumors that Ridley Scott is producing a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.slashfilm.com\/ridley-scott-producing-bbc-adaptation-of-philip-k-dicks-the-man-in-the-high-castle\/\">miniseries<\/a> of PKD&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0679740678?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=thequantumpon-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0679740678\">The Man in the High Castle.<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: none !important;margin: 0px !important\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=thequantumpon-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0679740678\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fans of Philip K.
