Somedays, however, one might wonder about all the time professors spend working and contemplate the idea of <a href=\"http:\/\/gblog2.academicladder.com\/2008\/07\/death-by-tenure-track.htm\">death by tenure track<\/a>.  Or if you care a lot about the notion of tenure versus non-tenure AND you don&#8217;t mind reading redstate.org, you can amuse yourself reading <a href=\"http:\/\/www.redstate.com\/diary\/augustine25\/2010\/04\/08\/glorious-leader-gap-more-evidence-our-pretentious-president-was-never-a-law-school-professor\/\">Glorious Leader Gap: More Evidence Our Pretentious President Was Never a Law School Professor<\/a>.  Equally depressing, but perhaps in a different form, is the state of <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.professorastronomy.com\/2010\/03\/state-of-astronomy-job-market.html\">the astronomy job market<\/a>.
