These articles describe the work reported in Laing, Rudolph, and O&#8217;Brien. &#8220;Experimental Quantum Process Discrimination.&#8221; Phys. Rev. Lett., 102, 160502 (2009) <a href=\"http:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/0801.3831\">arXiv:0801.3831<\/a>.  The idea is to discriminate &#8220;non-orthogonal&#8221; quantum processes via the use of entanglement, which is cool. (I&#8217;m a bit surprised that this <a href=\"http:\/\/arxiv.org\/abs\/quant-ph\/9904021\">classic paper<\/a> is not referenced.)<\/li>\n<li>Optimized dynamical decoupling performed in ions at NIST.  Paper published in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nature.com\/nature\/journal\/v458\/n7241\/full\/nature07951.html\">Nature<\/a>: Biercuk, Uys, Van Devender, Shiga, Itano, and Bollinger, &#8220;Optimized dynamical decoupling in a model quantum memory&#8221; Nature 458, 996-1000 (2009).
