These rumors have been officially <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/news\/world\/2008\/07\/17\/hawking_denies_planning_move_to_waterloo.html\">denied<\/a>.  The real story here, however is not about Hawking relocating, but whether Stephen Hawking has turned into an experimental physicist and is testing the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theory.caltech.edu\/~preskill\/talks\/blackholes.pdf\">black hole information paradox<\/a> by throwing himself into the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perimeterinstitute.ca\">Blackberry hole<\/a>.  I mean, if Hawking can visit for one month, and then escape from the Perimeter Institute, then I think we can conclude that the unitarity of quantum theory is safe.
