Via <a href=\"http:\/\/asymptotia.com\/2007\/12\/14\/gell-mann-on-fundamental-law\/\">Asymptotia<\/a> here is what Murray said while giving a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/murray_gell_mann_on_beauty_and_truth_in_physics\">Ted talk<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I won&#8217;t go into a lot of stuff about quantum mechanics and what it&#8217;s like and so on&#8230;you&#8217;ve heard a lot of wrong things about it anyway!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nWhich got me wondering: is more said which is wrong about quantum theory than any other theory in physics?  Now certainly there are those who will interpret Einstein&#8217;s relativity (which one they probably won&#8217;t tell you) as some postmodern &#8220;everything is relative&#8221; mantra.  But (and maybe because I&#8217;m locked in a quantum closet all day) it seems to me that even this really bad interpretation of relativity doesn&#8217;t compare to the amount of total <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/\">gibberish<\/a> I&#8217;ve seen about quantum theory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Murray Gell-Mann always makes me laugh.
