\nSmoke where smoke should not be. This is the “Rising Eagle Fire” just outside Twisp. We watched as a few puffs turned quickly into a huge plume. My Everyday Photos<\/a> has photos from her home, which was in the middle of that smoke.

\nI think this last one will be imprinted in my head for a long time, and can’t even image the images imprinted on those who lived and lost much closer to the fire.<\/p>\n
