He called me once because we shared the same name and he saw my byline in a newspaper story that had been picked up by a wire service. We chatted awhile, and agreed it would be cool to meet someday. I live in Florence, Oregon, now retired. A couple of years ago I passed through Yreka and was going to visit him. But I found out he was gone. I read his obituary on line and he sounds like quite a guy and I am proud to share his name. I wish I could have met your dad.
